Driving the future of learning with our new approach to teacher training


Edge Hill University and Knutsford Multi-Academy trust have developed an innovative school-led teacher training programme that has been designed and developed in partnership with experts from the University and the Academy. The programme has a strong focus on ensuring that participants develop their knowledge, skills and professional attributes to become outstanding and inspirational teachers in their own subject.

Their Our partnership with schools across the North West offers the flexibility to train in schools in a number of locations. Bursaries of up to £20,000 are available dependent on subject area and degree classification.

This is a year long programme that leads to the qualification of PGCE and QTS and up to 120 credits towards a Masters qualification.

Training places are available in the following subjects:

  • Business Studies
  • Computer Science
  • Design and Technology
  • Drama
  • English
  • Geography
  • Mathematics
  • Modern Languages
  • Music
  • Psychology
  • Physics
  • Chemistry
  • Biology
  • Religious Studies
  • Sport
  • Religious Education
